Borrowing

All Durack Institute of Technology staff and students can borrow resources from the Learning Resource Centre (LRC). Present your current student or staff card to enrol. A variety of resources can be posted out to Flexible Learning students.

Returns

Borrowed items should be returned on or before their due date. Patrons who fail to return overdue items may be prevented from further borrowing. Long overdues will incur replacement and administration fee costs.

Renewals

Most items may be renewed twice, provided they are not required by other borrowers. This may be done via phone, fax, email or at the Service Desk.

Reservations

You may reserve items at the Service Desk. You are also welcome to phone, fax or email the relevant details. You will be notified when the item becomes available for collection.

Interlibrary Loans

If an item is not available at the LRC, you may request an interlibrary loan from another TrainingWA library. Print and email, fax, post or deliver the completed Interlibrary loan form and copyright declaration to the LRC.

Reciprocal Borrowing Rights

Durack Institute of Technology staff and students are entitled to borrow resources in person from other TrainingWA colleges and from Murdoch and Edith Cowan Universities. Present your current student card at the institution of your choice. The conditions of use may vary at each institution so please check before you borrow.

Services for Other Borrowers

Reciprocal Borrowers (students currently enrolled at other educational institutions) can borrow resources from the LRC and are subject to the same rules and regulations as other LRC members. A current student card is needed to enrol.

Community Borrowers can also borrow resources from the LRC. An annual fee is charged for membership.
