Central West TAFE Diploma in Community Services students are coordinating a Foreshore Access Forum with the key findings to be submitted to the City of Geraldton-Greenough.
The Foreshore Access Forum is an opportunity for all community members to participate and provide feedback and suggestions about the accessibility and inclusiveness of the foreshore development. All suggestions will be compiled by the Diploma of Community Services students and presented in the form of a proposal to the City of Geraldton-Greenough council.
Community Services Lecturer at Central West TAFE Ms Johanna Bell said, “The primary focus of this project is to review and assess the access and equity of the foreshore - particularly for people with a disability and / or the elderly”. “For example, beach wheelchair access and ramps similar to those in use in the Eastern states and the USA”.
The Foreshore Access Forum is open to the general public and will be held on Wednesday 4th November from 10am – 12 noon at the Zeewijk Restaurant, Central West TAFE Fitzgerald St Campus.
