If you love the environment and working outdoors, a Conservation & Land Management qualification can help turn your passion into a career.

Durack Institute of Technology is currently recruiting students for the Certificate III in Conservation & Land Management course starting mid August.

The course is designed to give you a broad working knowledge of Land Management issues in the region through about 50% hands-on field work and 50% theory/class room activity.

You will get involved in live work projects with government agencies and private enterprise to give you practical experience in the industry and gain an additional two qualifications in first aid and 4WD.

With a Certificate III completed after 1 Semester, you will have skills to apply for entry level assistant positions within:

  • Environmental agencies (eg. Department of Environment and Conservation, Department of Water,  Local Government)
  • Non-for profit environmental groups (eg. NACC, Greening Australia, Landcare groups)
  • Private companies (mining, pest management)

Or you can continue onto the Certificate IV for another Semester to increase your skills and knowledge and improve your employment prospects.
