Aboriginal Student Support

Our Client Services team is based at the Geraldton campus in X Block and can assist you with relevant support and provide advice for a smooth transition into study.

We want to support and engage Aboriginal people in our local communities to achieve their full potential in participating equally in the social, cultural & economic life of their country.

Support and advice provided for our Aboriginal students include:

  • Enrolment and fee payment processes information
  • Tutors or child care information
  • Cultural matters or personal issues
  • Timetables and course content
  • ABSTUDY applications

Designated Places for Aboriginal Students in General Courses

We have a range of courses with designated places for Aboriginal students who have not applied through the official State Training Admissions application process, however course entry requirements still apply.

What can Durack do for you?

We’ll be there for you with a range of services from the Student Support team.  We can also provide a link between your lecturer and other support mechanisms for the duration of your course. We may also be able to offer you tutorial assistance, mentoring or access to Aboriginal scholarships.

Why is Durack doing this for you?

We are actively facilitating education, training and support for Aboriginal students across our five campuses in the Mid West and Gascoyne regions of Western Australia.

Our aim is to promote access to higher level qualifications for Aboriginal students… so will you take on the challenge?
